Dr. Maravelias provides care for patients via various outpatient elective and inpatient limb salvage surgical procedures. She also established the Mills Peninsula Wound Care Clinic and hospital podiatry call team. Prior to joining Palo Alto Medical Foundation, she spent four years at Bay Area Foot Care, treating a wide range of foot and ankle pathologies, ranging from minor to complex.
Dr. Maravelias graduated magna cum laude in Kinesiology at San Diego State University. Following this, she completed her graduate degree in Medical Physiology at Case Western Reserve University. She then received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco.
What makes you different?
I believe the best patient care is centered around strong communication and always having the patient’s best interest at heart. I enjoy treating a wide variety of podiatric pathologies, and it’s my goal to get every patient back to their pre-injury self as soon as possible.
Personal notes about Dr. Maravelias
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, and my large Italian extended family, who all live locally. I love to be outdoors in the winter, skiing in Tahoe, and most of my weekends in the summer are spent at the lake. I also enjoy home renovation projects, both big and small.
